  |   News   |   6 Comments

Here’s a very rare look at early Earth, Wind & Fire in the opening credits of the film “That’s The Way Of The World” starring Harvey Keitel. Watch as Earth, Wind & Fire plays the role of “The Band” in this film from 1975. This 6 minute piece starts with closeups of the finger work and details of the musicians as they warm up in the studio and then goes into the first few scenes of the film.

Ya know, today I’m in my 60’s, in the seventies I was in my 20’s. I was into Hendrix, Cream, Van Halen and ACDC. I hated disco with a passion along with everything connected with it. I was wrong! About a year ago I started listening to an Earth Wind and Fire “best of” collection, It was my first real exposure to their music, and all I can say is that every time I listen to it I just smile! The talent, the musicianship, the energy and the shear joy that went into this incredible music never fails to fill me with that same joy every time I listen to it.

Real music for real music lovers. The ultimate craft of musicians. Missing Maurice with love, and Larry Dunn on keyboards. Still, EWF reigns and will be in Music History forever. My classic – “That’s the Way of the World”.
