    Happy Birthday brother! Your decision to pursue music instead of following through with your intended course of study has brought so much light into the hearts of millions it is hard to fathom. Congrats on your new book also. Steve Harvey did a nice tribute to you a few days ago that had me a bit worried when i heard the word “tribute”. After listening for a while my concerns were relieved and joy filled my heart once again when it was confirmed that you are alive and well. Praise God for you and the vision you pursued. Keep it up…there’s more to do.

    Happy Birthday!! Your music is the poetry that inspired me and brought a richness to my life! My children and their friends think of me whenever they hear any Earth, Wind, & Fire song because that is what they heard in my home and car! You created a new genre of music that cant be categorized, just enjoyed and grooved to. Thank you!!

    i:na aka.i:nasoulgogoCampbellockJr. met Mr.Phiiip Berry in Japan in 1998.
    and i said “i like Africano song,because i am dancer . my elder dancers also like that song and they dance for that song on show case!!”
    Mr.Philip said ” i will ask to Maurice to make song for Africano.Africano’s sax melody is Japanese melody.can you teach japanese melody?! .Maurice always say to stady jazz!! jazz music and japanese melody is dificult for me.” he told me contine “well, it dosen’t matter junle of sucsses, rise up to sucsses!!”

    now i marrige with Oj de villager aka.GreENtea from Nigeria.
    he is singer and song writer ,mabye you know on myspace.
    he tried to sing with “Africano” by improbization.
    very Africantic and emotional.
    we saw on myspace,you organize competition for young people.
    we hope entry.
    but now our myspace cannot open…by it system cannot do well.
    please teach how the way to entry to competition.

    he is very respect Nigerian musician and on broadway
    musical ”FELA” Fela Kuti and your group EW&F also.
    and his favorit artist is written up to myspace.

    when i met Tower of Power group in JAPAN.
    i bring Oj ‘s CD album “Rebuild the Nation”
    and then that song was covered by EMINEM.
    that was miracle in 2010.

    now
    in Nigeria and all over the world , it is boom
    1980’s!!
    to Nigeria and to JAPAN.
    we hope to come to cocert!!

    I am a true fan for life. I have been listening to Earth, Wind & fire since the early 70’s. I would love to see you perform in concert. I would love to meet you in person.     I go to the park of this area every day. It is three minutes on foot from a hotel.There are many fans of EWF in Minato-ku. However, this hotel is a little-known spot.

If I was anywhere near you I would probably your stalker, groupie or whatever because I have to see your face every morning and night. I wish I had been your fan back in the 70/80s and gone to one of your concerts, you are so dynamic, I love to hear your wonderful tenor/alto voice, it just sends me especially the song I NEED YOU…I wish you were singing to me.     Happy belated birthday to the founder of my favorite band in musical history. Thank you for the music that has brought me so much joy in life. The pure talent and spiritual emotion of this band is something that cannot be explained. God has truly blessed you all . I hope I get to see you in June in Nashville (if I can get the night off). I want to bring my son who has been a fan of yours since he first heard Devotion. He would tell me to play it everyday and say again again when he was only 3yrs. old. he is now 19 and has a love for what I call real music.     One of the greatest concert experiences of all time was seeing Earth, Wind, & Fire in Maurice White’s hometown, Memphis (1979). They were jammin’ in their space suits. All these years later, I say It was the most captivating show I’ve ever attended. Maurice White was the reason for that intensity.
