   Dear Ralph,

   This is Scotty Ladew writing. You know me, remember the crazy haole friend of RodriguesThompson, the tree at Trav & Scilla’s house on Salt Lake Blvd. just wanted to give you a shout out after years of no talk. Well I’m still kicking. I miss those days of what seems so long ago.
   I’ve been living in Toledo, Ohio now with Jamie girl for, on and off now, 50 years.
   I pray that your brother Bobby is still alive.
   Do you keep on touch with any of the old crew. I wonder who’s still kicking.
   I ran into Kevin Golden the last time I was in Honolulu. He was still working sky cap at the airport. I wanted to find out about where the fella’s are. He told me that he wasn’t really sure. He did tell me that Trav & Scill moved to the mainland and sadly of Scilla’s passing. I often wonder how their boys are doing.
   Is Lurch White still alive. Guess I could Google him & Phil. Saw that Jan Gaye died. What a damn shame she was way too young. I wanted to tell you that I did run into Rodney T. and we spent a day reminiscing and getting caught up on what he knew about the old gang. He told me that Joe Coleman was living out in Waianae and was working as a drug addiction counselor. He also told me that Birdie Beasley was still kicking and that he called him the general. I say called cuz Rodrigues was in the begining stages of throat cancer so I’m not sure if he’s still around. You know Ralph, I always loved him.
   Anyways I read that you just released some new tracks. Good luck on sales.
   If you get a chance text me back as I was so happy to see that your still creating and singing. That’s great pal!
